In 2016, we won a Princess Royal Training Award for our dementia training.
The accolade, delivered by Princess Anne herself, recognises businesses that demonstrate outstanding training and skills development programmes. When judging a Princess Royal Training Award, judges look at three ‘Hallmarks of Excellence,’ namely: was the programme delivered efficiently, is it effective and does it have a positive impact on the organisation and its people.
Our dementia training
Launched in 2016, our City & Guilds Accredited dementia programme was developed to give our Care Professionals the personal skills and knowledge to cope with the practical and emotional demands of caring for an individual living with dementia. We’ve since rolled it out across our national team of over 12,000 Care Professionals. The aims of the training are simple: to provide our Care Professionals with the information and skills to enable them to provide a high-quality service to the people living with dementia that they care for and support.
